Paard Verzameld Art Challenge 24 was a tough one, inspired by Alphonse Mucha and art nouveau.
The reference photo from the early 20th century by Stina Hovi, is black and white and therefore wide open for creative interpretation.
Alphonse Mucha (1860 – 1939) was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, best known for his distinctly stylized and decorative theatrical posters.
Art Nouveau is an international style of art, architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts. It was often inspired by natural forms such as the sinuous curves of plants and flowers.
